Steve Thrower
Steve Thrower is a highly experienced construction professional with over 40 years in the industry, having commenced his career at a young age and developed extensive practical and technical expertise across a broad range of building disciplines. He holds the distinguished professional qualifications of Fellow of the Institute of Carpenters (FIOC) and Licentiate of the City and Guilds Institute (LCGI), reflecting both his craftsmanship and his commitment to professional standards. Steve has spent the majority of his career operating within the private sector, specialising in residential extensions, alterations, and improvement works. His portfolio encompasses a wide variety of projects delivered to exacting standards, with consistent attention to structural integrity, finish quality, and client requirements. Recognised for his dependable approach and meticulous workmanship, Steve has established a strong and enduring reputation for reliability and professionalism. His longstanding client relationships and repeat commissions stand as testament to the trust placed in his experience, judgement, and consistent delivery.
Paul Sayer
Paul Sayer has worked in the construction industry since leaving school, beginning his career in the restoration of historic and Victorian buildings where he trained and developed his trade as a skilled restorer. This early experience provided him with a strong foundation in traditional materials, conservation techniques, and the high standards required for heritage projects. Building on his site-based experience, Paul progressed through increasingly responsible roles across a wide range of construction projects, gaining comprehensive knowledge of site operations, programme coordination, and team supervision. His practical background, combined with hands-on leadership, enabled him to transition into project management. Paul has served as a Project Manager for the past ten years, overseeing complex works from inception through to completion. He brings valuable industry knowledge, strong organisational capability, and a collaborative leadership style. Committed to developing site personnel, Paul actively mentors teams to uphold quality standards, improve performance, and ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to specification.
Matthew Sayer
Matthew Sayer is a senior construction professional with over thirty-five years of experience in the construction industry, including more than two decades in senior leadership roles. He previously served as Director of Texo Construction Ltd for ten years, where he held responsibility for operational delivery, commercial management, and strategic business development. During this period he led a broad range of projects, including restoration, refurbishment, and new build developments across both domestic and commercial sectors. His tenure was characterised by consistent project performance, strong client relationships, and reliable delivery of works in line with programme, budget, and quality expectations. In late 2025, Matthew joined Initium Construction as Senior Contracts Manager, bringing extensive industry knowledge, commercial awareness, and a proven record in managing complex construction projects. His experience ranges from historic building restoration through to modern developments, enabling disciplined contract administration, effective risk management, and clear stakeholder coordination. At Initium Construction, Matthew strengthens project governance and delivery standards, applying practical expertise and strategic oversight to support high-quality outcomes and the company’s continued growth.
